Step Away from the Jar
A few weeks ago Joelle of Something Charming wrote a witty post that made me chuckle thanks to a brief comment about the take over of mason jars on Pinterest. Check out her post here – and I promise it’s a quick read.

Don’t get me wrong. I totally understand the mason jar craze. They’re so easy to find in a local grocery store. Easily dressed up for a chic event like a wedding. Perfectly rustic for a farmers market bouquet. So affordable. Admittedly, I’ve also done my fair share of contributing to the trend. So with that out in the open, it might be time to step away jars and bring back a simple touch of elegance to your next tablescape.
There are many options for votive candle and various sized floral arrangements without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for a good alternative to vases, take a look in the glassware section of your favorite store(s). You might be surprised by what you find and the deals you may be able to score.
By the way, when you look at the below “vessels” take note only one is a vase. The rest are glasses. Can you spot it without cheating by clicking on the links at the bottom? It might surprise you
So in honor of Joelle, please step away from the mason jar pins and consider these as options to place on your Pinterest boards or table landscape…
And if you feel incredibly drawn to use mason jars, mix it up a little with something like this, this or even this.
