It’s long overdue to share this special soirée from last August. I was completely flattered when a dear friend asked for help with her wedding reception. With plans of holding their ceremony at Woodland Park Zoo’s Rose Garden, which is stunning in August, Emily and Tim wished to host an equally special reception for their family and friends. With a fantastic vision in mind and over a few meetings, Emily conveyed what they wanted: an inviting, intimate reception allowing guests to enjoy a Seattle summer evening in their secret garden-like backyard.

The details: Yellows. Greens. Votive candles. Strings of lights. Delicious food and beverage. Toe-tapping music. Dancing on a patio. Secret spots tucked away. Fresh flowers. Paper lanterns. And a lot of laughter and love.
