Love Your Look: Michelle {a style series}
“Elegance does not consist in putting on a new dress.” – Coco Chanel
I am really excited to share this series with you! It started last November with an idea born from complete frustration after reading a few fashion and lifestyle blogs, and turned into a project of love thanks to an incredible group of ladies. I’m incredibly grateful for the time each partner put into this shoot, our lovely models, and our generous venue hosts.
The outfits in Love Your Look were created with the help of our stylist, Wendy, using items from each model’s closet, with a small handful of items bought to fill in a few gaps as needed. Each post in the series will include a note from Wendy about why certain pieces were picked.
Our goal, simply, was capturing each woman in an outfit that made her feel confident and empowered. To show her beauty inside and out.
I’ll share more of the back story in a few weeks after the four looks are posted. So until then, thank you so much for letting us to share this project with you. We hope you enjoy these posts and find inspiration within them.
Notes from Wendy: Michelle is a classic Ruby shape with her chest larger than her hip line. It’s usually a reflection of why I see so much black in women’s closets. Sometimes they try to conceal their largest part. Her hip line is small – she has great legs, and this outfit includes a colorful, fitted skirt that really plays this feature up. It will draw the eye to her legs with the powerful purple punchy color of the skirt, instead of her chest.
A similar skirt can be found at: Ann Taylor, Eddie Bauer, JC Penney, Loft, Macys, Nordstrom
